Lavender Cotton (Santolina Chamacecyparissus)

Santolina Chamacecyparissus are ideal in rock gardens, small borders or perfect in a basket or planters. They are mostly used for its beautiful foliage but if left untrimmed they will be covered with bright yellow small pom pom flowers in summer. The flowers are perched on stems above the foliage, which make great dried flowers. The foliage are either silver-grey or green and are fine and dainty reminiscent of conifers and grow in compact mounds.
Best positioned in full sun and in areas of sandy, rocky infertile soils but will also do well in garden loam and even clay provided it is well amended and well-drained. They can grow to a height of 25cm and wide. First picture is of a mature plant in flower.

Plants are in PB3 bags (2L) bags.
