These flaxes are a very robust evergreen perennial. Easily grown in well drained soils and in full sun to part shade and drought tolerant once established. Leaves can grow to lengths of 2m and in summer a dramatic flowering stalk of red flowers which attract nectar seeking birds. This flax adds architectural height to the garden.
