A highly ornamental plant adding a bold tropical texture to your garden. It has lush purple foliage and has flower stalks flowering from mid summer to autumn, a brilliant orange colour. These can be planted in the back of the border or in a large pot or by the water side. A rhizomatous herbaceous perennial which thrives in rich wet free-draining soil and in full sun to partial shade. These can grow to a height of 120-150cm and 35-50cm wide. Cannas can be grown indoors but must be in a large pot and with proper care.
